The story

Thway Thit Win Hlaing, born Saw Win Hlaing near Hpa-an in Kayin State, is a southpaw counter-fighter coached by the former openweight champion Wan Chai. He won Golden Belt Championship tournaments at 67 kg in 2016 and 71 kg in 2018, and in 2017 he won the second Lethwei bout ever staged by ONE Championship. In 2019 he knocked out Muay Thai world champion Iquezang Kor.Rungthanakeat, and in 2022 he outpointed Soe Lin Oo. In January 2023 he met Tun Tun Min for the vacant openweight title, dropped him twice in the fourth round and took the decision. Their rematch that August, under traditional rules, was a draw, so he kept the belt. His Lethwei record shows one loss in 95 fights; both of his Muay Thai bouts in ONE were decision losses.
