The story

Terence Crawford grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and started boxing at seven at the C.W. Boxing Club in North Omaha. After missing the 2008 Olympic team he turned pro that year, and in 2014 he travelled to Glasgow and outpointed Ricky Burns for the WBO lightweight title. Moving up, he knocked out Julius Indongo in 2017 to become undisputed light welterweight champion, then stopped Errol Spence Jr. in 2023 to do the same at welterweight. He won a title at 154 pounds against Israil Madrimov in 2024, then jumped to 168 and outboxed Canelo Álvarez in September 2025 in front of 70,482 fans in Las Vegas, becoming the first man of the four-belt era to be undisputed in three divisions. He retired that December at 42-0 with 31 knockouts.

Steal this

Train both stances like Crawford: drill your jab and rear straight from orthodox and southpaw, and practise switching feet as you finish a combination so your next attack comes from a new angle. Spend the first rounds of sparring reading your partner's habits, then counter what you have seen.
