The story

Tenshin Nasukawa was trained by his father from childhood, had a 99-5-3 amateur record by age 15 and never lost as a professional kickboxer, leaving the sport at 42-0 with 28 knockouts. The southpaw from Matsudo, Chiba, blended kickboxing with Kyokushin karate and was known for spinning kicks, rolling kicks and jumping knees thrown with precision. He beat Rodtang Jitmuangnon for the inaugural RISE world featherweight title in 2018 and, in June 2022, outpointed Takeru Segawa in front of 56,399 fans at the Tokyo Dome in a long-awaited superfight. He then switched to boxing, stopped Juan Francisco Estrada in April 2026 and has twice lost decisions to Takuma Inoue for the WBC bantamweight title, most recently in September 2026.
