The story

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, born Wacharit Chuabram in Buriram, has been fighting since 1992 and has more than 400 bouts behind him. A southpaw nicknamed Left Hand Wildfire, he built his game on tight defence and sharp counters. He won Lumpinee Stadium titles at 115 pounds in 2004 and 2007 and at 122 pounds in 2008, defending the latter four times, and was the 2011 Sports Authority of Thailand Fighter of the Year. In ONE Championship he won the flyweight Muay Thai title in 2018, then became the first strawweight champion in both kickboxing, in 2019, and Muay Thai, in 2020. Still competing past 40, he knocked out Elmehdi El Jamari with a head kick in April 2026 and fought for an interim ONE title that July.

Steal this

Counter instead of leading: as a southpaw, keep the lead hand busy, let the opponent throw first, then return the rear left straight down the middle.
