The story

Ray Sefo learned to fight at Auckland's Balmoral Lee Gar Gym and took a boxer's style into the K-1 heavyweight ranks. Known as Sugarfoot, he relied on hand speed, footwork and a hard right hand, and he knocked out Jérôme Le Banner in the first round in 1997. He won world titles under the WKA, WMTF and ISKA banners and reached the 2000 K-1 World Grand Prix final, where Ernesto Hoost outpointed him. He also beat fellow New Zealander Mark Hunt in 2001 and Peter Aerts in 2002, both on points. Outside kickboxing he went 5-1 as a professional boxer and 2-2 in MMA. He formally retired in 2018 and has served as president of the Professional Fighters League.

Steal this

Work a sharp jab to find range, then throw the right hand straight down the middle and move off at an angle before the counter comes back, the way Sefo did.
