The story

Pudpadnoi Worawut, born Ponn Ommklin in Khon Kaen, earned the name The Golden Leg in his first Rajadamnern bout, which he won with a high kick knockout. A southpaw who kicked while moving forward, he dominated the early 1970s, winning vacant Lumpinee Stadium titles at 112 and 122 pounds in 1971 and at 130 pounds in 1973. His wins include Fahsai Taweechai, Narongnoi Kiatbandit and, in 1975, the great Apidej Sit-Hirun, the year he was named the King's Fighter of the Year. He stepped away in 1976 to live in Los Angeles, returned after his father's death and retired for good in 1979. He then spent decades coaching abroad, mainly in Paris, and now works as a referee and judge in Bangkok.

Steal this

Kick while advancing, not only on the counter: as a southpaw, step your lead foot outside the opponent's lead foot and throw the rear body kick as you move forward.
