The story

Karuhat Sor Supawan stood 161 cm and was usually the smaller man, yet Thai fans still call him the Top Master. He moved to Bangkok at 17 and became a Muay Femur stylist of rare subtlety, switching between orthodox and southpaw during exchanges to create new angles and disguise his attacks. Low kicks and elbows were his favourite weapons. He won the Lumpinee flyweight title in 1990 and, despite fighting above his ideal weight, the 122-pound title in 1993 and again in 1995, the second time by elbow knockout. He beat Kaensak Sor Ploenjit in three of their four fights and twice outpointed Veeraphol Sahaprom. After retiring he opened the Sitkaruhat gym in Bangkok and has coached in Thailand and abroad.

Steal this

Practise switching stance on the move without losing balance, then attack the side that just opened with a low kick or an elbow before the opponent adjusts.
