What it is
Wrestling decides where the fight happens; grappling decides what happens there. Wrestling is stance, motion, level change, the penetration step, single and double legs, the sprawl and the front headlock. No-gi grappling works the positional hierarchy — back, mount, side control, half guard, guard — with escapes and submissions.
Friday’s catch wrestling is catch-as-catch-can: win by pin or submission, ride-and-control on top, hooks from every position, including leg entanglements and neck cranks.
