What it is

MMA is not a style. It is the problem of fighting when every phase is allowed. This class trains each phase at a technical level, then drills the transitions: strike-to-takedown entries, takedown defence back to striking, clinch to throw, ground control to strikes.

Transitions are where fights are decided, so they get their own drill time.

New to MMA?

Start in the Beginners class: the whole system on pads and bags with minimal contact. You leave knowing stance, footwork, the six basic strikes, a takedown defence and how to fall.

Partner work comes by level: positional sparring once you are Licensed, integrated rounds from Good, always with a coach’s sign-off.

Most people who quit martial arts quit in the first month, usually because they were hit before they could defend. Here nobody hits you until a coach signs off five criteria. Your first class is $20.

“I was super nervous going to an MMA gym as a young, small woman with no martial arts experience. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice I’ve been treated and welcomed here.”

“I’ve joined the club as a complete beginner a few months ago, and the only thing I regret is not joining sooner. The coaches are absolutely amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable.”

“Fantastic place. Came here not knowing any MMA at all, within a few weeks I’ve learned a ton. I love that we get to practice what we learn in sparring, which really helps me improve a lot.”

“I see them train serious fighters who are looking to compete but also gently guide beginners as they begin their journey into MMA.”

Questions

No. Training MMA does not mean fighting. Beginner classes have no sparring, technical rounds start once you are Licensed, and live rounds are opt-in with coach approval.
