The story

Max Holloway, born in Honolulu and raised in Waiʻanae, Hawaii, has landed more significant strikes than anyone in UFC history, including a single-fight record 445 against Calvin Kattar in 2021. After a long featherweight win streak he took the title from José Aldo in 2017, beat him again, and stopped Brian Ortega on the way to three defenses before Alexander Volkanovski dethroned him and went on to beat him twice more. At lightweight he won the symbolic BMF title in 2024 by knocking out Justin Gaethje with one second left in the fifth round, defended it against Dustin Poirier, then lost it to Charles Oliveira in 2026. That July he beat Conor McGregor at welterweight by first-round TKO when McGregor's knee gave out.

Steal this

Make the pace your weapon: throw in bunches, stay balanced, and keep the output high enough that the opponent fades first. Boxing and kickboxing students can run high-volume rounds that finish with a long combination on the bell.
