The story

Ludovic Millet brought a boxer's hands to savate. Trained at CS Meaux AP by Abderaman Hamouri, he won a French class B final by knockout in 2007, then beat Georgy Fernante in the French elite finals of 2008 and 2009; Fernante went on to become a world champion himself. Millet added the European title in Meaux in November 2008 with a third-round knockout, and in December 2009 won the world championship at 70 kg with a unanimous decision over Italy's Roberto Bett at La Motte-Servolex. He then took his punching into kickboxing, winning a WKN world full-contact title in 2010 and the ISKA world K-1 title in Meaux in 2012, and challenged Yasuhiro Kido for the Krush 70 kg title in Tokyo, losing on points. Outside the ring he has worked as an educator and sports instructor in Meaux.

Millet is known for his hands. Hide your kicks behind punches: double the direct (straight punch) to raise the guard, then land a fouetté (whip kick) to the body as the elbows lift.
