The story
aensak Sor Ploenjit, born Pongsak Cheawchan in Samut Prakan province, is known in Thailand as the Two-Time Fighter of the Year after winning the award in 1989 and 1990. Trained at the Sor Ploenjit camp under Gimyu Lerkchai, he turned defence into attack, blocking or slipping a strike and answering at once with a hard kick. In 1989 he held the flyweight titles at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern. He fought through the busiest years of the golden era, meeting Karuhat Sor Supawan four times and beating Taweesaklek Ploysakda and Lamnamoon Sor Sumalee, while his 1993 points loss to Singdam Or.Ukrit was voted Fight of the Year. He moved to the United States in 2000 to teach, coaching at AMA Fight Club in New Jersey and later opening his own gym.

Build a block-and-return habit: check or catch the round kick, then fire your own kick to the same side while their leg is still coming down.
