The story

Cris Cyborg, born Cristiane Justino in Curitiba, Brazil, is the only fighter to win world titles in five major MMA promotions: Strikeforce, Invicta FC, the UFC, Bellator and the PFL. She came up at the Chute Boxe academy and holds black belts in Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but finishing power is her calling card, with 21 of her 30 wins by knockout. Her only defeats came in 2005, early in her career, and in 2018, when Amanda Nunes knocked her out in 51 seconds to take her UFC title. In 2009 she beat Gina Carano in the first major women's main event. Still active in her forties, she won the inaugural PFL title in 2025 and beat Ketlen Vieira in 2026. She is also 7-0 as a professional boxer.

Steal this

Keep walking forward behind straight punches, and when the opponent grabs to slow you down, take the Muay Thai clinch and drive knees. Muay Thai and MMA students can drill punch-to-plum entries that finish with knees to the body and head.
